What is EZ-Locate?

EZ-Locate is an Internet-based geocoding service that provides real-time access to the Tele Atlas address database and geocoding technology. It is designed to let users enjoy the benefits of high volume batch geocoding without the hassles or high price:

• Setup an account and draw against it like a checking account for up to a year.
• Geocode in as many sessions as you like, 100 today, 10,000 tomorrow, 300 next week.
• Geocode in small batches from your desktop when it is convenient for you.

Our EZ-Locate geocoding client software allows you to access our high-performance batch geocoding engine from your desktop. When you use EZ-Locate, there are no cumbersome map databases for you to license and maintain, and no complicated matching software for you to configure-we do all that for you. The EZ-Locate client software simply sends your street addresses over the Internet to the Tele Atlas Geocoding Server where they are matched to our reference databases and latitude/longitude as well as other available Map, Census, or Postal attributes are returned. All addresses are returned by the server to you in real-time. Depending on Internet traffic, 5 to 30 addresses can be geocoded per second. The client collects the returned attributes for each address and writes your original records along with the new fields to an output file of your choosing.

Formats Available

You can use EZ-Locate for web browser-based geocoding by selecting the "EZ-Locate Interactive" link on Geocode.com. You can also process files of addresses using EZ-Locate client software which is available in several formats in the "Download Area" of Geocode.com:

1. Java Client: The EZ-Locate client application runs on any Platform that supports Java 1.4 or newer. The Client allows you to open and geocode a delimited text file of addresses, saving the geocoded results on your local file system.
   
2. EZLocate SDK: This package of source code and demonstration applications enables you to embed access to the Tele Atlas Geocoding Server in your applications on a variety of operating systems and computers.
